“It’s that pesky global climate change…”
The Projectline team has long been conscientious of the need to monitor and reduce environmental impact. Since the doors to Projectline HQ opened in 2004, Projectline has endeavored to limit the carbon footprint that can result as a course of traditional business. In addition to green commuting, nearly paperless communication, and the use of non-toxic and recycled cleaning and office products, Projectline has now extended its environmental commitment to include education tailored towards making sure employees always know how to make the “greenest” choices, both in and outside of work.
Projectline’s new Environmental Action Committee maps the carbon footprint of the Projectline team, and from that determines a set of tangible goals for decreasing consumption, decreasing waste, increasing recycling and composting efforts, and keeping Projectline employees up-to-date about environmentally sound products, services, and practices.
With compost recently having been added to the waste-management roster at Projectline’s Seattle office, the Environmental Action Committee’s first initiative centered around familiarizing the Projectline team with the ins and outs of recycling and composting.
