Microsoft Public Sector Team Wins with Social Media Project

Situation: Microsoft’s Public Sector group needed to refresh its approach to marketing collateral. Having never found a way to effectively communicate out to members of the State and Local Government field, the group sought to develop innovative, easily-consumable collateral that would engage the intended audience and showcase the successes of existing State and Local Government partners. The Public Sector group wanted to focus its efforts on highlighting six different topics spanning the State and Local Government landscape: operations, citizen services, public safety, performance management, sustainability, and digital inclusion.

Solution: The Public Sector group called on the expert marketing consultants at Projectline, whose combination of fluency in creative marketing and new media and established ability to produce fantastic reference marketing collateral was a great fit for the Public Sector team. Projectline’s evidence managers, writers, and editors got to work contacting subject matter experts in the US State and Local Government field, conducting interviews, writing and editing articles, and kicking off a series of topical audiocasts. Projectline’s successful execution of this project resulted in almost 25 brand-new pieces of collateral that the Public Sector group has used to illustrate how Microsoft solutions have improved operations for State and Local Government partners.
